About This Course
Mediation is an inexpensive method of resolving disputes without judicial intervention. The mediator may be a judge, an attorney, or other person with a legal background. Participants learn how to conduct mediation in areas including divorce, custody arrangements, healthcare, or workplace disputes. Course participants also explore mediator liability, the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), and the development of the core skills necessary for participating in mediation, arbitration, and mini and summary jury trials. Additionally, students prepare mediation projects for critique by mediation professionals at Hatch Education.
