About This Course
The California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST) examines the level of basic reading, writing, and math skills that are essential for employment as an educator. Students in this course will review the fundamental concepts required to pass the three sections of the CBEST (two multiple choice sections for math and reading, and a two-essay section for writing) as determined by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTCC). The Hatch Education CBEST test prep course will prepare to achieve success on: READING: Critical Analysis and Evaluation / Comprehension and Research / Comprehension and Context / Research and Reference Skills. MATH: Estimation, Measurement, & Statistical Principles / Computation and Problem Solving / Numerical and Graphic Relationships. WRITING: Expressive Writing and Expository Writing demonstrating referential aim, in addition to a review of general standardized test-taking tips and strategies. This course is designed and administered by Lisa and Scott Hatch, standardized test prep experts and authors of numerous national best-selling test prep titles.
